— TRE Practitioner | Yoga Teacher | Retreat Host & Chef | Mother

Hi, I’m Giorgia

As a TRE practitioner and mindfulness yoga teacher, I help women find a sense of stability and home within themselves, in their bodies.

I believe in the power of my own body as a tool for healing. I see my body as my home. As a safe space I can come back to when life feels just too much.

I bring my sense of humour to lighten up the sessions, creating an atmosphere of openness and permission.

— My Story

Born in Italy, from the age of 19 I spent my adult life in the UK.

Starting with London where I completed a BSc in Zoology.

And ending up in Cornwall, caring for primates rescued from the UK pet trade.

My deep interest in supporting holistic lifestyle practices developed after my involvement in a career based on the conservation and protection of both wildlife and domesticated animals. With a background in the natural sciences, I am passionate about understanding human and animal behaviours – in particular, how our nervous system works, and how this can affect our physiology and way of living …

… and how we can work with our body to positively alter the state of our nervous system to our benefit.

— The Change

Growing up in a family where we never talked much about how we felt, during my teens and early adulthood I was often in a state of reactivity, anxiety and anger.

I used to try to avoid these uncomfortable emotions by finding ways to distract myself or escape from them.

It was only when I started body-based practices such as TRE, yoga and Vipassana meditation that I started discovering who I am. Making peace with the many different layers of my being.

TRE, backed up by yoga, has had a profoundly good effect on my nervous system and on my emotional, mental and physical health. I have learnt a great deal about myself and how I behave in times of stress.

In my path for healing, these self-care practices are teaching me how I can become more resilient and be empowered in my choices of behaviour.

Physically, these practices make me feel good in my body and reduce my chronic lumbar pain.

Now I use my skills, experience and knowledge to help you too to reconnect with yourself.

So you too can experience more resilience, connection, awareness.

— Motherhood

Now as a mother and as an entrepreneur I want, more than ever, to maintain a level of self-regulation.

To support myself, my daughter and my family at moments of high intensity. So that I have a positive effect on my child and can teach her how to handle uncomfortable emotions.

Society has imposed on mothers an idea of selfless giving.

But I don’t believe in it – you can’t give from an empty bucket!

I believe in looking after myself first, thus being able to have the energy for my family and my work – and yes, myself too!

— Pregnancy and beyond

TRE and yoga have accompanied my body and my baby through the many changes that this life-changing event involves.

Pregnancy and post-natal yoga are now very popular practices in our culture. TRE not so much - yet. But I used TRE during every trimester of my pregnancy, during labour and for my postpartum recovery. Integrating it in every stage of my evolution of becoming a mother; at each stage I found some benefits.

I’m passionate now about sharing this method with other pregnant women, and to teach them how to use TRE safely for their well-being during pregnancy and beyond. And to midwives and doulas so they can support their clients with the involuntary tremors during birth.

— When I’m not teaching, you can find me…

Working as a wholefood chef in retreat centres in the UK and Europe.

Looking after permaculture gardens and living off-grid sustainably with the environment.

And, of course being a mother to my strong-willed daughter!
